O prefeito Rubens Furlan, acompanhado do vice-prefeito e secretário de obras, Beto Piteri, visitaram nesta quinta-feira (16) o bairro Jardim Maria Helena, que foi afetado pelo temporal que atingiu a região na última terça-feira (14).
Na visita, Furlan e Piteri, fizeram questão de acompanhar de perto toda a ação realizada pelas equipes da prefeitura e também conversar com diversos moradores que foram afetados pelo alagamento. Em uma reunião com moradores, Furlan, ouviu atentamente a situação de cada imóvel e os pedidos para que seja tomada atitudes que se evitem um novo alagamento no bairro.
O prefeito declarou que foram mais de 200 residências afetadas e, que em reunião com as equipes da prefeitura irá realizar um estudo para retirar e indenizar cerca de 100 casas que impedem uma possível obra, que tem que ser feita para que se evite novas enchentes. “Deste modo, podemos tirar uma curva que prejudica muito o leito do Rio Cotia, desassorear e alagar o rio. Vamos fazer isso e realizar o que for necessário para evitar futuros transtornos aos moradores do bairro“, disse Furlan.
